One of my responsibilities during the production was to implement the cutscenes into the game together with the animators. I made sure the export was correct and created the necessary assets.

I also handled the logic and callbacks for before and after the cutscenes had been played, and placed them in the scene for game designers and directors to adjust their placement.

I made a tool for randomizing the appearance of the background NPC since the previous pipeline for selecting the appearance was to manually selecting the meshes and enabling each outfit piece. This felt like a fun thing to do and something that would be useful for later on in the development. I made a custom editor that could randomize whole outfits or only specified categories and filter by styles.

There is also a button to load and save the current outfit data. I used this to quickly switch to randomize meshes that match a specified style like the Tailo warriors.

Randomize model.

[Serializable]
public struct StyleGroup
{
  public string groupName;
  public List<GameObject> exclusiveStyleObjects;
  [FormerlySerializedAs("ContradictintStyleNames")]public List<string> contradictingStyleNames;
  public bool required;
}
[Serializable]
public struct ApperalGroup
{
  public string groupName; public List<GameObject> apperals;
  public int maxNumberOfEnabled; public int minNumberOfEnabled;
}
[SerializeField] public GameObject modelRoot;
[SerializeField] public List<StyleGroup> styleGroups;
[SerializeField] public List<ApperalGroup> outfit;
[SerializeField] public List<Material> PossibleMaterials;

After I made the outfit randomizer tool I continued on making a custom editor for selecting animations for the background NPC with a enum drop to make it easier for the level artist to populate the scenes.
